Bishop
Joel V. Brown is an anointed teacher, preacher and man of God. His ministry parallels with the Prophet Joel in that
the Word of the Lord through him calls men to genuine repentance and restoration. He also has a genuine love and dedication
to help the youth grow stronger in Christ.
Bishop Brown is the son of Chief Apostle Olive C. Brown and
the late, Bishop James F. Brown, Jr. He is a native and resident of Richmond, Virginia, where he received his formal
education in various Catholic schools in the Richmond area. He has attended Virginia Union University, the Evans-Smith
School of Theology, and the John Tyler Community College. Bishop Brown has been employed by Circuit City
and was promoted to positions in the Corporate Divisions in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, as well as Richmond, Virginia.
In 1992, he was ordained Elder in the International Christian Ministries. From 1993 to 1996, he served as Founder and
Pastor of Word and Power International Christian Ministries in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Upon returning home, he served
as the Youth Pastor for New Jerusalem International Christian Ministries, and as one of the Praise Leaders. In 2004,
he was anointed as Pastor of New Jerusalem International Christian Ministries and appointed 1st Vice President of International
Christian Ministries. As Pastor of New Jerusalem International Christian Ministries, his goal is to teach
the whole man to prosper in the knowledge of Christ.
In March of 2007, Bishop Brown was consecrated to the office of Bishop in the International Christian
Ministries.
